You couldn’t pay me enough to be an Iraqi government official these days. Why? The third one since Saturday was gunned down today, this time an oil official.
The oil official, a second cousin of Jalal Talabani, leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, died in a hail of bullets on his way to work. His driver was seriously wounded.
I’m assuming he was Kurdish, too, given his relationship to Talabani. So, it’s not ethnic-based killing — it’s just anti-government.
As SKBubba would say, “Okay, then.”
