Iraq situation worsens

Last week, three Iraqi officials of the interim government were assassinated. More US soldiers have died, as well, along with Kim Sun-il, the Korean hostage who was brutally beheaded yesterday.

Today comes the threats to the new Iraqi Prime Minister by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who says Allawi will be killed. I have to say, you couldn’t pay me enough to be in the new Iraqi government…

Things aren’t getting better in Iraq; they’re getting worse. As the arbitrarily-picked handover date of June 30 looms, it’s only descending further and further into bloodshed. Post-handover isn’t going to be any easier, too.

I don’t have an answer as to what to do — I don’t think anyone does at this juncture. I have ideas, but then, I’m not a specialist on the Middle East; I just read a lot.

Which probably means I know more than the Shrub does.

How many more people have to die before the American People wake up and realize we’ve been sold a bill-of-goods that doesn’t even exist?
