The band is named The Wilderness of Manitoba, and their first album is called When You Left The Fire. It’s sort of hybrid of Joni Mitchell and CSN&Y, but it’s so much more. They’ve expanded their sound since this album, and gone a bit electric, and switched female singers, but man, they are pretty great. This album is full of exquisite harmonies, and what can only be described as ambient folk.
The final track on the album, Reveries En Coleurs, is a thirteen-plus minute exploration of sound that is perfect to my ears.
Here’s a video of them playing their song November by a campfire.
