Steve Hackett – Please Don’t Touch (1978)
His first post-Genesis release. It’s a remarkable album, with guest vocalists including Steve Walsh (Kansas), Richie Havens, and Randy Crawford.
You can tell Hackett was bursting with ideas, and newly-solo, he indulged his muse to mostly amazing results. Perhaps “Carry On Up The Vicarage” is the only miss, and that depends on my mood of the day.
Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful album and perfect for writing my yearly self-assessment.
